I know a lot of our readers crave modern furniture without inflated price tags. While Crate & Barrel is out of most of our budgets, their younger hotter sister, CB2 carries tons of items that are making me feel like I can’t live without them. Think Ikea, but more stylish, grown up, and will last a heck of a lot longer. I know we’ve all had some terrible Ikea experiences. As soon as you try to move that stuff it falls right apart to its death.

While venturing to the gym and Trader Joe’s (the samples are always my post fitness snack!) last night I saw that they finally have their store in order and will open tomorrow! Yes, tomorrow. That means that the parking lot at 8000 Sunset Blvd at Crescent Heights is going to be a hot mess. Their space isn’t as large as I thought it would be; as an enormous Virgin Megastore was formerly sprawled out all over there. Looks like they’re only taking up part of it for now. If the shop is successful then there’s lots of room to expand.

I witnessed hoards of gawking fashionable males who were oogling over the furniture and decor. Looks like setting up shop in WeHo was a good move for them. While browsing through their catalog and website it seems like many of their smaller, everyday household products are affordably priced. However, the more expensive big ticket items will cost a pretty paycheck or two.

On a random note, one of their window displays used an astroturf mat that is the perfect size for my balcony. Best of all it’s only $9.95, so yes I’m totally going to be purchasing it tomorrow. It’ll happily replace my Valentine’s Day flowers that wilted away outside and fit right in with our cactus that’s thriving! Hopefully, when I go inside tomorrow I’ll find some more random finds that wont purge my purse.
