Sweet, sweet September: my month of TV
While September is always that kind of super sad summer’s over time, there is a bright sight to this notorious back-to-school month. TELEVISION! Don’t bother asking Amy about any of this as she’s one of those annoying “I don’t watch TV” people. But not me! TV is my drug of choice and here are some ways I’m going to get my fix!
Glee Wednesday, Sept. 9 on Fox

So Fox aired the first episode of Glee after the season finale of American Idol last May, they’ll air a “director’s cut” tonight, and then will re-air the first episode again this Friday, except this time you’ll be able to Tweet along with the cast members. (What kind of depraved, Twitter obsessed, shut-ins will be participating in this madness??? Um..me.) But the show really gets on the road on September 9th when they finally start airing new shows. This is like Pushing Daisies once was in that it’s one of those few shows that both me, my mom, my grandma, and my boyfriend are all marking our calendars to make sure we watch.
Community Thursday, Sept. 17 on NBC
If there’s anyone cooler of funnier than Joel McHale, I haven’t found him. Sure, Chevy Chase is pretty funny too, but Mr. McHale, I love you! He was pretty much the only person on the entire E! network that didn’t make me want to turn of fthe TV and go outside. (God forbid!) And I’m so happy that he gets to bring his smartypants wit to the halls of a community college where acerbic underachievers are in great supply.
Bored To Death Sunday, Sept. 20 on HBO

I don’t really know what this show is about — a bumbling mystery reader? No matter, it had me at Zach Galifinakawhatever. I’m so there.
Set your DVRs because these must-see shows are coming back!
Fringe Thursday, Sept. 17 on Fox
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Thursday, Sept. 17 on FX
Dollhouse Friday, Sept. 25 on Fox
Dexter Sunday, Sept. 27 on Showtime
The Hills Tuesday, Sept. 29 on MTV
Love how the preview’s tagline is “The Bitch is Back.” They totally stole that from Aliens and huge thumbs up for Spencer’s cowboy hat.
And last, but definitely not least:
Curb Your Enthusiasm Sunday, Sept. 20 on HBO
