Last Saturday, Amy and I were all about getting our green on as we stopped by the eco-chic beauty boutique Vert in Venice to meet the wonderful Josie Maran. Josie was there to fête the launch of Bronzing Argan Oil, her cosmetic line’s newest release. If you’re not yet familiar with Josie’s line, you will be. Made with organic, natural and cruelty-free ingredients (everything is also clearly labeled so that you know what you’re buying), her cosmetics truly excellent. It’s little surprise that though it’s is only a couple of years old, Josie Maran Cosmetics is not only available at Vert, but also at Barney’s and and at Sephoras nationwide.

Amy and I couldn’t wait to try the Bronzing Argan Oil. Used for centuries because of its medicinal qualities, it’s also a very versatile ingredient for beauty products. Because it’s so rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it does wonderful things for both skin and hair. Josie’s version comes in a glass bottle with a dropper – a little of it goes a long way. Put some of this smooth oil on your skin and not only will it leave it supple and dewy, but also with a beautiful, healthy bronzed shimmer that’s perfect for summer. It goes on lightly and looks subtle and natural. Josie also said that you can put some of it on your hair to make it healthy and shiny. I also adore the way it smells.

If you weren’t at the Vert festivities, you really missed out (and don’t blame us because we told you!). Josie was super nice, was wearing the cutest dress ever, and she even brought a makeup artist with her to give party-goers some demonstrations of her makeup.
