As I’m trying to pinch pennies (with my newly made penny-pinching coin purse!) I’ve been cutting back on lots of things that I used to take for granted like manicures, cocktails, and department store beauty products. Luckily I’ve found a couple of winners at my local CVS. Both from Max Factor and both really amp up the sexiness for an – inexpensive! – night on the town. I’m a huge fan of their Vivid Impact Lip Color, especially the fiery red shade called Ablaze. Sure you might get some lipstick stains on your cocktail glass  - er, yeah, so I haven’t really given up those quite yet – but it’s so worth it because you’ll be looking way hot while sipping your Cosmo. 

And we wouldn’t want your sexy red lips to be without some dramatic lashes, so the 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper should always be on hand for any “I need to look cute right now!” emergencies. I love that it’s sold with the wand outside of the mascara tube – it seems more cleanly to me, plus I get to see how huge and weird the brush is. Yeah, this is some serious mascara. Your lashes will be bat-ready in no time. 

All the better to save money by having someone else buy you a drink!
