Roll your way to tightened and firmed skin
Members of the beauty industry are always pushing the envelope, thinking of new and creative ways to stand out in an incredibility competitive market. Well, Sculptinex from GS Labs is no exception. It’s creative packing includes a roll-on applicator. Gimmicky you ask? This sub
urban working mother of two young children has no time for gimmicks, but I do have a need for some lifting and firming, so I thought I’d give this a try.
Sculptinex’s active ingredients are TensineTM and Resveratrol. Tensine claims to instantly and visibly resculpt and contour. Skin is supposed to feel immediately tightened. Resveratrol is to deliver time-released moisturization, activating the skin’s natural repair process to help keep cells healthier longer.
First Application:
After fumbling with the on and off twist and figuring out the right amount of cream to squeeze, I was able to roll on the product. The rolling motion is quite soothing, but the cream applies on thick so I had to repeatably roll over the same areas (probably good for activating the product). It instantly felt cool and refreshing. About 5 minutes later I did felt a tightening affect. Thirty minutes after the application, I noticed a little flaking. Because of some
uneven skin tone, I have to use cover up and sunscreen; maybe it didn’t play nicely with those additional products?
After a week of morning and night use:
When I first work up in the mornings I haven’t noticed any flaking. That could be because I sleep on my stomach and just can’t avoid my face on the pillow. After about a week, my face feels slightly tighter, softer and hydrated. I think this product will best suit skin in the early to late 20s. I’m just above that range and my skin has had too much sun exposure over the years. I probably need something a bit stronger, but I did see some noticeable improvement after a week of use.
Available at Kohl’s and Kohls.com, currently on sale for $39.99
