H+M and Jimmy Choo: no, we’re not excited

Submitted by LAPretty on June 18, 2009 – 11:33 am2 Comments

hmGet ready for a repeat of the Matthew Williamson for H&M drama from last April because WWD has announced that Jimmy Choo will be doing a collaboration with the store for a holiday shoes, bags and accessories line forĀ  both men and women to debut on November 14.

Fashion Rules! has about 8,000 exclamation points in their post about this, but we at LA Pretty are way more cynical. Doesn’t everyone remember not just that the Matthew Williamson line sold out in minutes, but that everything (unsurprisingly) ended up on eBay with inflated “buy it now” prices? We hate to be negative nancys, but we think the only way any of us small-budget peons are getting our hands on cheap Jimmy Choos is if we quit our jobs to wait in line outside H+M all day when the line debuts. Or if we buy it on eBay where a pair will cost almost as much as the real thing. No thanks.

H&M’s prices are too high for what the quality is. All the dept stores are having their sales now. YOu can probably go to Neimans or Saks and get a pair of REAL Choo’s for not much more than what H&M would cost.

omg we totally agree!! IT’s rediculous and I wouldnt want to wait in like for 6 hours before the store even opens anyways lol
