The Ottoman Empire was so Gangsta

If you didn’t know that OG stood for Original Gangsta, then you must listen, err read closely! While I may not have baggy pants, blingy chains, or teardrop tattoos – I do like to make gangsta references to help express the woes of my secure upper-middle class lifestyle. However, there’s a NYC based clothing company that’s taking it back oldskool, like WAY back to the Ottoman Empire. If you don’t recall their many eras from history class, don’t fret because it’s of course on Wikipedia. At the height of the empire they controlled parts of Africa, Europe, and Asia. They did gangsta stuff like block the sea lanes so the Europeans couldn’t get their spice and silk fix on, burn Moscow, and raise hell in order to expand their territory.

Emperial Nation surely knows all this and they aren’t just a bunch of history buffs, they are gangsta history buffs and through their clothing line you can take a journey through time. The group pays homage to: the Wild West, The French Revolution, The Civil War, The Harlem Renaissance, and Gangs of New York. So whatever your taste may be these guys have some gear that has a real story behind it.
