Get Eco-Beautiful on your face
The only thing better than being beautiful is being Eco-Beautiful. That may sound cheesy, but it’s true. There are so many harmful chemicals and preservatives in the cosmetic and skin care realm that it’s scary. To combat all of these horrors celeb makeup artist Lina Hanson just released, Eco-Beautiful The Ultimate Guide to Natural Beauty and Wellness and a party was held in her honor at Vie Eco Boutique and sponsored by Arcona. Eco-Beautiful is full of simple ways that you
can green you beauty routine along with ingredients to seek and ingredients to avoid. Prior to venturing off on her own Lina trained with Jeanine Lobell, the creator of Stila Cosmetics. Her career blossomed when working photo shoots, red carpets, and runway shows. Unlike other makeup artists her celeb list is really diverse which I love. Her work has graced the faces of: Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts, Portia and Ellen, Zach Effron, Emile Hirsch, Ryan Gosling, Beck, Rainn Wilson (Dwight from The Office). Hey, guys need to look pretty too! Obviously her career has come into full bloom with the release of this book that will enlighten everyone on the power of being green.
Los Angeles based beauty brand Arcona is also featured in Eco-Beautiful and the company was offering up complimentary treatments at the event. So, of course I took one for the team and dove right in to experience a facial and hand treatment. Now as an editor at LA Pretty I’ve sampled tons of beauty products (I know, my life is so hard!), but it really takes a wow factor for
products to stand out in my eyes. Lets just say I was floored after experiencing Arcona’s magic. The products used were a raspberry resurfacing peel, followed by a hydrating mask, coupled with lots of toning triad pads. The results were literally glowing skin that felt so fresh and clean. Not to mention that all of their products smell delicious, like juice or jam. I imagine treatments at their Santa Monica studio can feel like a spa and aromatherapy session combined. I don’t need to read a book to know that Arcona can make anyone Eco-Beautiful since using products that contain toxic ingredients would void the brand’s holistic philosophy.
All of this green beauty excitement was happening at the very laid back and cozy environment of Vie Eco Boutique on 3rd street. Lina is good friends with the owners and the boutique’s eco-friendly clothing are a perfect compliment to green beauty. They carry all natural and earth friendly brands like Larsen Grey, Loomstate, Elsom, Lalesso and lots more. Apparently they have a 75% off sale going on now, so that seems like the perfect opportunity to get your green on. Needless to say, I will be visiting Vie again soon. So go get your Eco-Beautiful on!

Amazing. I love eco-friendly packaging when it comes to cosmetics, like Stilas old lipsticks in their recycled tubes. Love that beauty can be good for the earth and your skin/body too!
