Koreans showing you the Kogi way

There’s been a ton of hype surrounding the success of the traveling Korean Kogi BBQ truck. But was it all due to their plot of attracting alcohol induced party-goers with savory food? Possibly, but since everyone in Los Angeles is a self-appointed food critic they had to represent with salacious flavors and a unique menu.
Koreans are known for their BBQ, but not so much tacos, burritos, or quesadillas. The fusion of a Korean BBQ dish in a convenient portable formĀ makes for a convenient meal or snack. Although, it’s really not that convenient considering their two trucks are always at new locations everyday. I only ventured out for some Kogi goodness because the truck came relatively close to where I live yesterday.
They really do live up to their hype because the food was cheap and delish. A few customers ordered well over $50 and even $70 worth of tacos and other food. I purchased two tacos (chicken and pork), a quesadilla, Kogi sliders, and a burrito all for $21. The tacos are by far the most popular, but I believe that the Kogi sliders are the best tasting. It’s Kogi beef inside a mini burger
bun and when you bite into it your mouth experiences an orgasm of flavor. Next time I’m going to order like five of those. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. And for you vegetarians they also can put tofu in anything. I can easily see how people stock up on food when the truck comes rolling in through their part of town. Their signature eats are served up daily at the Alibi Room in Culver City; they actually have a few items that you wont find on the truck as well.
